Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted a vanity dressing table. I wanted to lay out all of my make up and perfumes and sit and lazily get ready for the day. Someday I will own one and fulfill my need for old school beauty and glamour. I am working like crazy this week because this weekend we are having company! Sean, Rachel, and Kayo are coming and staying with us on Friday night. They are then heading off to Ohio on Saturday, but I get them on Friday! I am so excited and I am planning a huge breakfast before they have to leave for the airport. Lindsay one of my dearest friends is also coming up for conference weekend! She will be staying with us on and off for about a week. I can't wait to see her and rent "The Outsiders" and watch it with her and Logan. I know if sounds crazy, but it is one of our favorite movies so it will definitely be on the schedule. Ricardo (Rick)  Logan's brother will also be coming up for conference and hanging out with us. It is going to be a  busy weekend in the Thomas house, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Oh bragging moment... Logan had three HUGE tests last week and after studying day and night he rocked all of them. I am so proud of how hard he works. His good scores are a reflection of his hard work, dedication, and commitment. I got so lucky with this guy.
Also, since I graduated two months ago I have read the following books:
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo 480 pgs.
Night 109 pgs.
Breaking Dawn 768 pgs.
The Huger Games 374 pgs.
Catching Fire 391 pgs.
Total: 2,122 pages
I have just been reading anything that is around me. Let me know if you have read any good books lately. Right now I am starting The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Have a great Tuesday!

Makall and Chocolate Chip muffins. What a good mixture:)
This week I made logan chocolate chip muffins from scratch. They were super easy  to make and really really tasty. They are made with sour cream which makes them so incredibly moist. You should all try them out it was my first muffin attempt and it had a tasty end.
Makall was passing through Provo and was nice enough to meet up with me for lunch. We sat and ate and talked forever. We love meeting up because we can always pick up right where we left off. I am currently in the process of trying to make makall move to Provo so we can actually see each other more then once a year. Makall is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is a true friend, and a wonderful mother. I am so glad that I can call her my best friend. Makall have I convinced you to move here yet? I'll keep trying:)

When I saw this picture my heart stopped. This is a homemade puff pastry filled with homemade whipped cream and raspberries. I want to make them so bad, and might take on the challenge this Saturday. I also just found out that my BEST FRIEND Makall and her cutie little fam are coming into town next week and I get to see them! It has been way to long since I have seen Makall and since she is one of my favorite people in the world I can't wait to play with her. The Provo life is movin right along and Logan and I are hanging on for the ride:)

These are just a few things that I am LOVIN' right now. I have always been a strictly summer person with the exception of the occasional rainy day where I stay hidden under a heavy blanket, drink hot coca till I'm sick, and watch every Jane Austen movie that is in the house (my mom and I have acquired a nice collection.) But I have started to listen to the hum of Fall. People seem to love fall and I don't want to live under a rock and never find the beauty so I am trying it out. I am starting by finding my Fall theme. This fall I feel is going to be stocked with nude colors, grays, tans, and natural patterns. As I was surfing the INTERNETS I came across all of these gems above. My favorite is the over stuffed gray chair.  In the two months since I have finished school I have read 1,409 pages of lovely novels. I am pretty much reading all the time. I read in bed, on the couch, at the table, and sometimes laying on the floor. All of this time switching positions I am constantly dreaming about the perfect reading chair that I hope to one day call my own. We are moving today and I am not going to lie I am not that excited to walk up and down the stairs FOREVER. Logan doesn't get home until six so I will be doing the majority myself today. It's ok because when we are finished we will be second floor people! Well I gotta go I have to start moving, eat some lunch, and continue to try to love the fall season. See ya!

Friday Date Night Feature:
Since we have moved to Provo we have been surrounded by new shops and amazing restaurants. We decided we did not want to get into the same ole' pattern of just going to our favorite places to eat. We need to explore our new home. Every Friday night Log and I have a date night. Date night usually consists of going out to eat because the last thing I want to do on Friday evening is cook dinner (judge me if you want). We are on a budget so we try to eat at affordable places. So I decided that every friday I will do a Friday Date Night Feature on affordable, tasty restaurants to hit up. In case anyone else out there is looking for a fun place to eat out. Our first stop is Jason's Deli in Orem Utah. It is a cutie little restaurant that serves soups, salads, and sandwiches. Logan and I both got the Club sandwich that comes with chips. It was super tasty, Log thought it was ok. I think that's because he ate so fast that he inhaled it, thus not having a lot of time to really taste it. Jason's isn't like a subway at all you go and order at the counter and then they bring you your meal. Logan and I both ate for about $16. Now the best part about Jason's is if you go there you get FREE soft serve ice cream. AS MUCH AS YOU WANT! It's the basics just vanilla, chocolate, and swirl. I really liked this because it was the perfect thing to satisfy my after dinner sweet tooth. Jason's was a hit and I would definitely eat there again. HAPPY Labor day weekend. We are heading up to Salt Lake tonight. What are you doing?

When I was in California at my mom's house I got the baking bug... yes the baking bug. My mom has a fabulously large kitchen with everything you could ever want in it, and since I had nothing to do I decided to bake. I have been holding onto some recipes that I have been dying to try, but either didn't have the stuff for or just didn't have the time. So I made all of these beauties! Ok the Flourless chocolate marble cake was phenominal! We brought it to a party and it was a hit. It is super rich, but the bitter sweet chocolate is killer. Then I made a batch of Chocolate Chip Pecan Blondies. I don't know what it is about blondies, but I am such a sucker for them. They are like chocolate chip cookies, but on steroids. They once again are super rich but keep really well and are awesome right out of the oven. A couple days later the bug hit again and I decided to go in for the Kill and make the Peach Cake. I am not going to lie this recipe intimidated the crap out of me. There were so many steps it made my head swirl, but once it was done the sour cream cake and the cream cheese frosting made you melt. That night we all just sat on the couch and moaned because we had owned that cake. The night before I had left I decided to make some good ole' Homemade Oreos. Now my baking record isn't that awesome. I had tried to make homemade oreos before and I failed miserably. I remember feeding them to Logan and my brother and they never let me live down how awful they were. I had to redeem myself! These ones were awesome. They were chewy and tasty. So there these are all the creations I made while I was at home. I recommend all of them, seriously I am not just saying that you will die happy if you try anyone of these treasures.
Log and I found out that we are moving on Monday and I am not going to lie I am not that excited to walk up and down the stairs over a hundred times, but I will do anything for the second floor:) Sean, Rach, and Mckay are coming into town this weekend for a family reunion and I am so excited to see them. I miss not living next to them so this will be fun. I started having dreams about work. All the spreadsheets and reports that get filed. Last night I attended my first sexual assault class. It is a class I will be teaching eventually when I get my groundings. The class was awesome it is for survivors of rape and those that are just coming as support. I am already learning so much from the people that I work with. Log is starting to speak the language of Chemistry. It will be a challenging semester for him, but I have more faith in him then I do in anyone else. Tonight we are going out to play soccer with some friends and I am super excited to play again. Well I guess I will get back to the day! Happy Thursday.
