Baby Update

 ^^^Birthing class curriculum

 ^^^30 Weeks

^^^ 31 Weeks

^^^32 Weeks

How far along are you? 32 Weeks
How am I feeling? I am feeling ok. I think the way that I describe it most is that I feel "heavy."  It is just becoming more difficult to do simple things like get out of bed, get out of the car, and bend over to tie my shoes:)
Total weight gain?  13 pounds now. My doctor said I should be gaining a pound a week at this point so looks like we have more to go!
How big is baby? According to The Pregnancy Center the babe is now about the size of a large jicama. haha, but my doctor said she is about 4 pounds at this point. I can feel her growing by the day. She is getting really good at kicking me in the ribs on the right side. I also feel her poke out her butt and just shift around when she wakes up. Also she gets the hiccups all the time! I do love feeling her move it makes me feel so connected to her.
Maternity Clothes? For my work I have to wear dresses or skirts everyday so that is what I spend most of the day in. When I get home I throw on my favorite pair of pregnancy leggings and call it a day. That is what I wear most of the time.
Stretch Marks? I got my first tiny one this week. It is really low on my belly and Logan doubts that it even really exists. I am not going to lie I kind of freaked out when I saw it! I have gone 32 weeks and haven't really had any differences in my skin so it kind of shocked me! I am still wearing lots of belly butter and I try to keep my skin moisturized so it won't itch as it stretches.
Sleep? Sleeping is getting pretty tough these days. I wake up like 10 times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and since I am only sleeping on my sides my hips will ache horribly. I sleep in really late in the mornings because I am so exhausted from the lack of sleep from that night. I am just trying to sleep as much as I possibly can and I don't really apologize for it! haha
Best moment of the week? The best moment this week was probably practicing hypnobirthing with Logan. He reads me relaxation scripts so we can practice for when the baby comes and it is really cool how the more that we do it the more that I associate his voice with being calm and relaxed. Also I love how much the baby moves when she hears Logan's voice.
Food cravings? I was craving breakfast foods like crazy last week. Logan took me to IHOP and fed me french toast and it was AWESOME!
Food aversions? I don't know it until I smell it. Sometimes it will be something that I normally like, but if it hits my wrong I can't eat it.
Belly button in or out? IN? There is a question mark, because it is technically in, but a little out. haha
What I miss? Sushi and caesar salad.
What I'm looking forward to? My mom and dad are coming next weekend with all of the baby's furniture so we can put together the nursery. I am so excited to get it all organized and decorated so I can just go and hang out in there.

Baby Shower

^My sister being awesome and rolling me.

^Our friend Lori made this amazing stork and brought it to the shower.

 ^29 weeks at this point!

While I was home for Christmas I was lucky enough to have an amazing baby shower thrown for my by my mom and my sisters Tani and Rachel. By the way we can thank Rachel for all of these pictures because she had the foresight  to pick up the camera and snap some pictures so we could remember this cutie occasion. My mom was amazing and made some delicious brunch foods and filled the house with gold accents and my neighbor Juleen made three amazing floral arrangements with my favorite flowers. It was such a special day because I was surrounded by so many people that I love so much and together we celebrated the coming of this little girl that means that world to both Logan and I.
The prospect of becoming a parent is so incredible scary that sometimes I get bogged down in all of the "what ifs." "What if I am not a good enough mom?" "What if I cannot keep her safe?" "What if what if what if?!?!" But then there are these moments or glimpses of clarity when I look around at all of these important people in my life and I think to myself how lucky this baby is to be born into a situation where she will be loved unconditionally by so many. I cannot even express how grateful I am for my family and friends and for the out pouring of love that they have already given our daughter. It is when these moments come that I stop asking the "what if" questions and take comfort in how lucky we really are. People are constantly asking me, "Are you ready to have this baby?" To them I respond "I don't think anyone is every completely ready to have a baby, but man are we excited to try!" Logan and I are not perfect people, we do not have a perfect marriage and I know that we will not be perfect parents. But the thing is I know that we can do this because of the love that we have for each other and for this little girl.
So here is to having a baby and having no idea what we are in for! CHEERS!!!

Happy Holidays

^^^Logan accepted a scholarship from the Rotary Foundation. So proud of him!

^^^We drove down to Laguna to look at the lights and tour the Mayors house. It was insane!

^^^My favorite part of Christmas was picking out our tree. It completes my life.

^^^26 weeks along!

^^^Kimala's Christmas table.

 ^^^Logan's awesome gingerbread house.

^^^Spent the new year with my Logan.

^^^The best part about being from SLO is our beach days around the Holidays.

^^^29 weeks along!

Our Christmas season was full of school and work at the beginning. Logan got 3 weeks off for Christmas and I decided to take 2 weeks off from work so we could go home to SLO and be with our families and be lazy. This was our last trip to SLO before the baby comes so we slept in, stayed up late, ate lots of food and spent lots of time together. Logan's family was also in town so we got to hang out with them and catch up with all the siblings and kidlets. While at home I had an amazing baby shower and took maternity picture, which I will be posting soon-ish;) It was honestly a great trip, which always makes it difficult to leave and go back to real life. Now we are back home and gearing up for the coming of our little girl. I am working 3 jobs to try and get in as much work as possible before she comes and we are trying to get life in order so we can be as prepared for her as we can be (if that is even possible).
